a long, curved avenue

this academic year has been a difficult one - at least in terms of challenges. year 2 of the programme forced me to read so many books and write so many words. the challenge was cathartic and rewarding.

it was lovely taking a course in fabulism as i actually wrote things outside of my poetry genre. this was wonderful because i found that i do have a range beyond poetry, and it is definitely something i want to explore again.

one of my favourite books is read was "The Carrying" by Ada Limon. this is an incredible collection of her poetry. i am going to re-visit this book over the summer.
